Girls Weekend!

This last week my little sister turned 20. She wanted to go on a trip for her birthday, so my mom, Jessica and I packed our bags and headed for California. Thursday we drove to L.A. and that night went to see Wicked. It was great, but the Galinda this time wasn't nearly as amazing as the Galinda Shan and I saw when we came earlier in the year.
Anyway, the next day we packed up and drove to San Fransisco. We rode the cable cars, saw Pier 39, went on a tour of Alcatraz, and then the next day we went on a Bay cruise that went under the Golden Gate bridge and around Alcatraz Island. I even got to drive down Lombard street!

It was fun to get to see somewhere totally new. Then we drove down to Carmel and spent some time shopping and checking out the beach. Check out the decor in our last hotel room! We felt transported back to the seventies!

Sunday we drove all the way home, 10 hours! It was SO much driving. But it was fun to get to hang out with my mom and sister. We have never taken a trip, just us, before.
Shan watched our boys and he was amazing! The boys had so much fun spending all weekend with their dad. He even kept the house clean and kept all the laundry done! And on top of all that he even took Blakes pacifier away! We have been needing to take it away because he has broken out in a terrible rash on his face, but I just wasn't ready, he loves it so much. But Shan took it away when I left so I didn't have to endure any of the terrible first days of no pacifier! I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband!
I missed my boys and Shan so much! It's so fun to get away and have a break, but even nicer to come home!

A new haircut

I finally cut my hair. It's always nice to have a change!

Jump-n-Jacks

Monday night we went to Jump-n-Jacks. It's this place that has a bunch of big blow up toys. It just so happened that Marchants were going there too! Our kids had a blast and I'm sure we'll be back soon!

This is Quinn showing Shan how to relax. He even gave him the step by step.

Blake wouldn't even go near the blowup toys, but he like the airplane

I got a couple cute pictures of Carson - you know - ones with a real smile! He has that totally fake smile in all his pictues now. He was having such a good time!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers day! I am so blessed to have such a great dad, dad-in-law, and dad for my kids!
Future dad's with their dad!

My dad - at our wedding, I couldn't find another picture of us together. Guess it's time to get out the camera!

Same goes for Shan's dad! Happy Fathers Day!

Congrats!

Congrats to my brother Kurtis and his wife Jenny! They just had there second little girl, Bailey, last night. She's a tiny little thing. 6 lbs and 18 1/2 inches long. They live in Kansas City, so we won't get to see her until August, when they come out to visit. But, we are sure she's just as cute as little Sammy!

Guess Who's Walking?

Alright it's probably not to hard to guess. But, last Tuesday Blake started walking. We were playing around in the living room, trying to get him to walk, and he just started taking off. He's been walking just a couple steps, and only like once or twice a day. But now he's walking everywhere! It's so cute to see him take his little cautious steps. I tried to post some video of him walking, but it wouldn't work and I'm not fast enough to get a picture of it yet, since it's so random when he decides to walk. So this is just one of the latest pictures of my cutie! Who, by the way, has been totally sick for the last two days, he can't seem to keep anything down. I hate when my kids are sick, because they are so sad, but I love the snuggles and the mellowness that comes with it!

Way to Go Carson

Last Thursday Carson finally earned enough money to go buy his Anakin Fighter. He was so excited, so much that he even said this was the best day of his life! We are so proud of him for working so hard to earn the money to buy this toy. He weeded, took out garbages, fed fish, cleaned toys, slept through the night in his own bed(this was definately worth the dollar for me!) and tons of other things. He is already earning money for the next toy! And he was such a good example that Michael has started doing chores to earn money too!

Earning this money also meant he paid his first tithing on Sunday! He was so excited to give his envelope to the bishop.
