My little boy headed off to Kindergarten this week! He has been so excited for this day to come and is so ready to head off to school. On Tuesday I got to go to school with him where we did a treasure hunt to figure out where everything was in his classroom. Including the drinking fountain, bathroom and playground. He loved this. What boy doesn't love a good treasure hunt? The teacher also had him do a couple of activities like drawing himself, counting some plastic fish, reading a little book and writing his name. He did so good at all of them. I was so proud!

Then yesterday was his first day to go to school on his own! He was suppose to go with his carpool, but at the last minute, I decided I wanted to take him. He was so excited and says that he had a lot of fun learning about sitting quietly in his chair.
While he was at school I made him some no-bake cookies (his favorite). Michael was so anxious for him to come home. He sat out on the front porch just waiting, until it got too hot and he had to come in. Then he just sat by the window looking out waiting for the car to pull up. They are such good buddies, it's a good thing Michael will usually be napping while Carson is at school!
It was pretty hard for me to see him go to school too. I had one teary night and few times yesterday when I had to hold back the tears, but I did a lot better than I thought I would. I am so excited for him to go, especially since he is so excited. We love that kid!

what is my problem, I am tearing up reading about carson!!
I agree with Louise, having our boys in school is pretty emotional. My house is too quiet without Mason. I am glad that Carson is liking school. He is going to do very well.
It was a sad day. I'll admit I even had some tears a few times during the day. I can't believe how fast they've grown up! Before we know it they'll be graduating!
What an exciting day. I love the first day of school, especially kindergarten! You should have seen me crying when I had to stick Gabe on the big school bus all by himself. They have to grow up sometime I guess.
With Lilly and all her friends starting school and talking with moms all going through the same thing I realized something. We all get so excited for them to progress and do things on there own, like walk and talk and brush their own teeth, then suddenly the first day of school comes and we realize how much independence we have taught them and are filled with such a desire to take it all back and make them stay ours forever. And from what I hear, it only gets worse. How we will ever make it through?
He looks so cute. He will do great.
I wish we could just slow down the aging process a little. It is so hard to think that next year they will be gone all day. That is really going to be hard.
I can't believe little Carson is all grown up. It really seems like yesterday he was born! Way to go Carson you are so grown up!
How exciting! Thats cute that michael couldn't wait to see him! What a good brother!
