It's a girl!
Yesterday afternoon we went in to check out the baby. We took all three boys, the older two were SO excited to see the baby. Carson even got to miss a little school. The doctor says it's a girl, but would only say he's 80% sure! What's that, I was looking for more like 95%. Oh well, I guess we'll go shopping but keep the tags on.
The doctor says the baby looks healthy. So that's great. But my placenta is a little low, so I get to have another ultrasound around 32 weeks just to make sure it has moved. I'm pretty excited about that. Maybe we can bump up that percentage a little at the next ultrasound! She's also in breech position which makes me a little nervous. Blake was in breech position when we had our first ultrasound and then he never flipped, which is why I ended up having an emergency c-section. So, were crossing our fingers this baby will flip.
Shan has been saying it was a girl for a couple weeks now. I should just listen to him, he's been right every time. The boys are excited, Carson has been wanting a girl from the beginning and Michael wanted another brother, but he's okay with a sister. So now I feel like I'm starting all over in the baby department. I have to redo the nursery, make all new quilts and blankets and buy all new clothes(I think that will be the fun part for me, I've been looking at all those cute girl clothes for a few years now!) It all seems like a lot to do with three kids hanging around!
In honor of our little girl, for the next couple days I thought we would have a pink blog. Don't my boys look cute in pink!A big thanks to Louise who was so sweet to try and watch Blake for us! And she also brought us our first little girl gift last night. A big bag of girly clothes! Thanks for being such a good friend and neighbor!

I won't say I knew it because I'm sure you'll think I think I know everything but...I KNEW IT!! I kept telling you there's still hope but you were sure it was a boy! I'm in the same boat with starting all over, and it's hard because you want everything to be 'perfect' again. It's so hard, and fun all at the same time. We're going to have to make a trip to Vegas, and soon! Oh and I have the placenta previa thing going on right now too. What's up with that? Anyway, YEAH FOR THE GIRLS!!!
Yeah for your probably a baby girl! She will be so precious.
I knew it! I am so excited you are going to have a girl! They are sensitive, but they are so much fun! Now you will have a shopping buddy while the boys are out hunting! We want to know how Shan feels about the news!!
I am so EXCITED!!! I don't what is up with all the girls now. Everyone is having girls. Congrates and YES your boys look good in PINK!!!
Hooray! I wanted it to be a girl! I'm so happy and excited for you Jen. Oh and yes, you may give her the name Sharlet, I don't mind at all. ;)
Wow, a little girl. I am very happy for you. You will have fun redecorating the nursery and everything else. Congrats!!
Congrats! I love my girls...but yes, they do turn your world upside down! How exciting!
Yeah! I'm so excited for you! If it makes you feel better, Brad and I were given the 80% sure when I was pregnant with Megan. She's going to be a loved little girl with all those big brothers taking care of her! Good luck with everything!
Yeah! That will be so fun. I totally love looking at the girl clothes. Have fun! Also, what a lucky girl to have 3 big brothers to take care of her!
So fun! Yes, I bet you will have fun shopping for girl stuff! I didn't know you had a c-section. Kylie was c-section. Not fun! I'm hoping I don't need one this time. I guess we'll know in about two weeks. My doc said most babies are breech when the anatomy ultrasounds are done, so don't worry yet.
Congrats!!! A girl, thats so exciting! I didn't know you had a c-section? I had that too, the little guy just didn't want to flip! Good luck with everything, we are way excited for you!
How exciting! I was so excited when Brian toldl me you called and said it was a girl! And I love the pink blog! :D She is going to be lucky to have 3 older brothers to watch out for her!
