Yes we did! Over memorial day weekend we packed up all our stuff and moved out to Kansas. It's been pretty scary for me. I have loved our neighborhood and we all have great friends here, so I have been pretty sad to go. But Shan was in need of a new job and a great job came available for him in Kansas.
This is a picture of the moving truck. When it pulled up I couldn't believe how huge it was! I thought there was no way we would fill it up....but we did!
The kids wouldn't stay out of the movers way. They thought the truck was awesome.
They found a spare box and made a club house out of it. They played in it for quite a while.
Shans new employer really took care of us on this move. They hired a company to take care of the whole move. I would just talk to one lady and she arranged everything. They had a company come pack us up and move all our things, they had a different company come and build these crates for all of Shan's taxidermied animals, and take down our trampoline and basketball hoop and then come meet us in Kansas to put it back up....they really took care of everything. It was so nice for me, especially since I had been living without Shan for three and half months and I would have been so much more stressed if I had been having to pack up too!
So they started packing us up on Wednesday and they were on the road with all our stuff by Friday. It was so fast. We stayed at a hotel for a couple days...at the request of the kids. They LOVE staying at hotels! And then we stayed with Shan's parents the last night. We stayed until Saturday so we could have carpet cleaners and home cleaners come and we could hand the house off to the renters. After that we took off so we could be to my parents farewell by Sunday.
