This weekend was the rifle deer hunt. We always go up north and Shan heads out with my brothers and dad. This year there was a big snow storm predicted, but the boys still got up at 5:30 to see if they could find anything before the storm hit. They got a little up the mountain and found that the road gate had been closed for the winter. So by the time they got to there spot other people were already there. They were really disappointed that the mountain is getting so busy. The storm had also moved in and they couldn't see far enough to get a deer. So they came home. We sure were surprised to see them walk through the door at 9:30!

I feel bad for the John boys, although Shan has probably met his quota for the year. Better luck next year!!
Well, opening day was a bust. But Tuesday both Kevin and Kurtis got their bucks. See my blog for details!
