Here comes Baby #4!

Yep, we're expecting our next little baby!

I'm just about sixteen weeks, which puts me due on February 16th.

We found out back in June, the day before I left for San Francisco with my mom and sister. And we didn't wait nearly as long this time to make our announcement. I guess we were just excited!

Anyway, I'm feeling a mix of emotions this time around.

Disbelief, something just feels different, which makes me feel like I'm making it all up. But, we have already seen the doctor and heard the heart beat - so yes, I guess it's really happening.

Excitement, we really are excited. Carson has been so cute about the whole thing. I think he's the most excited of all. Michael on the other hand started out saying he wanted our family to stay the same. But he has grown into the idea and is now excited too!

Nervous, FOUR kids! I feel like three has been a pretty easy transition for us. Mostly because Blake was THE BEST baby ever! I am worried that I won't handle four quite as well. I guess only time will tell!

Anyway, there is our exciting news. Most of you probably already know, but I thought I would make the announcement official! Wish us luck!

Fun and More Fun!

Last weekend marked the beginning of the oh so anticipated (or dreaded, it depends on who your talking too) deer hunt. So we packed up the family and headed up to fish lake to camp with some friends. We had lots of fun camping, but Shan was pretty disappointed about the lack of deer. The boys had fun in the huge wood pile.And Blake, as always, loved the Rhino!

Than, this last weekend we went up North to see my family. My brother and sister-in-law had their little girl Preslie sealed to them on Friday night. I've never been to a living child sealing so that was pretty neat for me. Then on Saturday morning my family did family pictures and then we all headed to the zoo. It was Blakes first time at the zoo and he loved it! As did my other boys. Carson loved checking out the map and telling us how to get to the animals. Blake loved this shoulder ride from my dad. And as always the train was a big, but short, hit!

The First Day of the Rest of Your Life!

My little boy headed off to Kindergarten this week! He has been so excited for this day to come and is so ready to head off to school. On Tuesday I got to go to school with him where we did a treasure hunt to figure out where everything was in his classroom. Including the drinking fountain, bathroom and playground. He loved this. What boy doesn't love a good treasure hunt? The teacher also had him do a couple of activities like drawing himself, counting some plastic fish, reading a little book and writing his name. He did so good at all of them. I was so proud! Then yesterday was his first day to go to school on his own! He was suppose to go with his carpool, but at the last minute, I decided I wanted to take him. He was so excited and says that he had a lot of fun learning about sitting quietly in his chair.
While he was at school I made him some no-bake cookies (his favorite). Michael was so anxious for him to come home. He sat out on the front porch just waiting, until it got too hot and he had to come in. Then he just sat by the window looking out waiting for the car to pull up. They are such good buddies, it's a good thing Michael will usually be napping while Carson is at school!
It was pretty hard for me to see him go to school too. I had one teary night and few times yesterday when I had to hold back the tears, but I did a lot better than I thought I would. I am so excited for him to go, especially since he is so excited. We love that kid!

Today is my cute nephew Cutlers 2nd birthday! I forgot to mention him in my August birthday post, so, Happy Birthday Cutler! We hope you have a great day!

New Pictures!

Last night I finally ventured out to get my boys pictures taken. They are all four months late, but, when they all had their birthdays we were all taking turns being sick and then Blakes eczema broke out bad on his face. So I have just been waiting until nobody had any big cuts or rashes on their faces. And with three boys it just doesn't happen very often. Anyway the boys were great for the photographer and I think all their pictures turned out super cute!

So many birthdays this month! So happy birthday to Shans sister Tiffany! This is a picture of her with her family. I don't have any pictures of her alone, but as she is a great wife and mom, she is usually with her family!

It's also my moms birthday, my sister in law Brookes birthday, her little girl Haylees birthday(they share a birthday, crazy hun?) my neice Sammys birthday and my brothers Kevin and Kurtis's birthdays(It's the big 3-0 for them!) I'm not going to put up pictures of everybody(Tiffany is a serious blogger and always remembers to mention everyone on their birthdays, so she got the picture!)but I love you all and wish you the happiest of birthdays!

Look who got braces!

Alright, you can't really see them(because he decided to go with clear ones) but, yesterday Shan got braces. He's already a little sore this morning, and wary about how long it'll take, but getting them on is the hardest step right? Wish him luck!

Lots of Summer Fun!

We have been having lots of fun this summer. While camping up in Beaver Shan shot the boys first squirrel! They thought their dad was so cool!

Then Carson got to build his first fire. Blake got to touch his first fish. He could not get enough and tried to grab every fish we caught!
We harvested our first watermelon out of the garden! We were so excited and it tasted so good! We have since had a bunch of watermelon and cantelope. So fun!

The boys got their first real video game. Lego Starwars. Totally a mistake. They want to play it all the time. Hopefully the excitement of the game will wear off soon!

The boys have spent lots of time outside on the slide. Good place for them to be.

We finished our first round of swimming lessons. The boys are doing so good. Carson can now jump in and swim to the edge on his own! So proud.

And Michael was doing so good he almost passed off two levels at once! Yesterday we started the second round of swimming lessons. Hopefully they will go just as good!

We went up to Beaver for the 24th of July. It was great like always. We went to the parade and then over to the park where they have foot races for the kids. Our kids were so excited to race and had a tons of fun. Only bad part was that we lost our little Michael for a minute. He is never one to wander, he always wants to be right by us. But, about halfway through the parade we noticed he was missing. He had just been sitting right by me, so he couldn't have been gone long. But we couldn't find him anywhere. We had everyone up and looking and then all of a sudden he just showed up, walking over a hill we had looked by a couple times. He said he was looking for a drink! Definately one of the scarest moments of my life. Now I am super worried about taking three kids to Disneyland next month.

Then we headed up to the mountain to camp with Makayla and Cory's family and Uncle Chad. The kids had so much fun hanging out with their cousins.

Shan took us all on our first rock chuck hunt. Too sad and gross for me. Michael is so cute and calls them rock chunks. It was nice to be in the cooler weather!

Blake has started waving bye-bye all the time now and all four eye-teeth came in this month. Lots of drool and runny noses, but overall he did pretty good! Carson gave his second talk on Sunday, and besides getting a little silly he did great. Michael earned his first toy. A lego firetruck. He was so excited to go and buy it. He earned it by doing chores and sleeping in his bed. But since he got the toy he will come down in the middle of the night and stand by my bed and say "I don't want a dollar." in the cutest little voice. He is so fun right now! Anyway, if you read that whole thing, way to go! Sorry it was so long, but they were all things I wanted to remember!

Happy 4th of July

I LOVE the 4th of July! It is definately one of my favorite holidays. We headed up to my parents house on Wednesday night. So we got in lots of time with my family! The 4th was so fun. We started out the day at the annual breakfast. Usually it is at Grandmas house, but since she passed away this year, it was at my Uncle Howards house. His yard is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious! Then we headed down to the parade. We got to still sit on my Grandmas front yard to watch the parade, probably for the last time. So sad, definately not a tradition we want to give up. My boys loved playing on her huge lawn and eating all her cherries and raspberries!
The boys all loved the parade, but were done about half way through and were ready to just sit back and eat some candy! I can't say I blame them.

Then we had our usual bbq. That night we headed down to Davis High with my parents to watch the fireworks.

The next day the boys all headed out to go fishing. They were pretty proud of these monster Carp they caught.

We had such a fun time!

Finally up to Beaver!

This weekend we finally made it up to Beaver Mountains to go camping! That is my favorite place to go. We had tons of fun riding the toys, going on hikes, getting dirty and looking for deer.

On the second day, Shan was wanting a nap and so I took all the boys for a ride in the rhino. Usually when I go by myself I don't venture very far, just in case something goes wrong. Well, since he was wanting a nap, I decided to head out a little farther than ususal. Wouldn't you know it, about a mile out there is a big log covering the trail and when I tried to turn around I got stuck. So the boys and I packed up and took the walk back to the trailer. Poor Michael was so tired, it was about 4 o'clock and he hadn't had a nap, and now he had to walk, mostly uphill, back to the trailer. He kept insisting I could carry both him and Blake. I know I have mom muscles, but they're not that strong! Carson was so great, he told Michael to grab the other end of his walking stick and he would help pull him up the hills. It worked like a charm. When we finally made it back to the trailer, Shan was still sound asleep, having the best nap ever. Lucky guy! He went back down the trail on Carsons motorcycle and got the Rhino right out. Figures!

Anyway, we had a great weekend and can't wait to head back in just a couple weeks.
