Super Long Update Post

It's been forever since I've updated my blog, so here is a super long update post of whats been going on.
We've taken the boys out to ride the motorcycle a few times this last month and Carson is finally big enough that he can really handle it well. He hasn't crashed once this year and is loving it. He never wants to stop!

With the beautiful weather we've been to the park a bunch.

Once while at the park a little girl bit Blake's ear. For the next few days he had what we referred to as a "Hitch" ear. Poor kid! Blake's vocabulary has exploded this last little bit. He is talking like crazy and everything he says just sounds so cute! My favorite is when Shan is gone and I ask him "Where's daddy?" and he says "Right Back". He just says it SO cute!

Swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's hot tub. Can't wait for it to be warm enough for the big pool!

Michael has started to spell little words, like Cat and dog. I'm very proud. He also gave up his naps, but has been falling asleep everywhere. He's so tired by about six, but not tired enough for a daily nap! This time he went into the nursery, locked the door and fell asleep in the glider. We had to go peek through the window from outside to make sure he was okay!

Shan is going to be Carsons T-ball coach this year. So they've been practicing tons. It's really helped, Carson is getting better. And he loves it, he's always asking Shan to play catch. Yesterday he got a new record, he caught 12 balls in a row!

The other boys are loving baseball too!

Soccer season started. This is Carsons third season. He scored two goals at the first game and was really excited. I haven't got a good picture yet, next game I swear!

Michael got his training wheels off (again) this Saturday. But, this time he did great. He just took right off and doesn't even need help to get started. He was so excited to show all his play group buddies today!

We blessed Kambree this last Sunday. I think she looked beautiful in her dress and she slept all through church, not a peep. What a girl!

Most of our families made it, even from up north. We are definitely blessed to have such supportive families. My Granddad even came down from Provo!

First family picture since the hospital.

Blake and Michael are still obsessed with their little sister. I don't think most girls ever get so many kisses!

And on Saturday Kambree started smiling! It's still pretty random so I haven't got a great picture, but we're loving it, and we're all constantly trying to get a smile!

In other news, I got braces on my bottom teeth this week. I've had braces before, but didn't wear my retainer enough. Anyway, their not as bad as I anticipated and will only be on for a few months. Shans work has been slow, this last week they finished a Walmart and had no other work, so they laid off all their employees. Good news came just a few days later when they found out they got a high school remodel job. So, they'll be able to bring back most of their employees. Shan is still playing in a baseball and golf league every week and loving them both. And the best news of all is that Kambree has started to sleep through the night. 9:30 to 6:30. It doesn't get much better than that for a new mom!

Three Weeks Old Already!

Our little girl is three weeks old already! I can hardly believe how fast it has flown by. Our boys are all loving her and can't seem to leave her alone. She really is a good little baby. She got a little cold and has been so good about all the nose sucking and trouble breathing. Lucky us! So despite the trouble sleeping at night because of the cold, things are going great. Last week we took her for her two week appointment. Her stats are 8 lbs 13 oz. and 21 inches long. That's some pretty good growth for the first two weeks.

More Pictures

I just wanted to post some more pictures of Kambree. This is her on Sunday night. My dad and my brother and his family came to visit from up north. It was so nice of them to drive all the way down to meet our little girl. This is one of the few pictures we have of her with her eyes open. She's a sleeper!(During the day at least.)
Our first photo as a new enlarged family. We sure look like a big group now!
This little boy is obsessed with his sister. All day long it's "baby, baby, what doin' baby?". He constantly wants to be by her and see what she's doing. And isn't this one of the best parts of having a new baby, the snuggles!

She's here!

Our little girl came Thursday February 12th at 4:44 pm. She weights 8 lbs. 3 oz. and is 20 inches long. We decided to name her Kambree Miller. She was another surprise breech baby, so I ended up having a cesection. We just got home last night and the boys are loving her! More pictures to come soon!

Almost ready!

I thought I would post a few pictures of our preparations for this baby. Shan has worked so hard on putting up the bead board and chair railing. And then he had to paint it all, which took forever. I wish I could have gotten a better picture, but it doesn't really show up well. But, anyway he did an amazing job! I'm lucky to have such a handy husband.
This is the bedding, all bought, I just converted the bed skirt from a queen to a crib size.

I made these curtains out of left over bed skirt. I still need to make some drapes to go with them. Just have to find the desire to go to the fabric store again this year. Blankets, all really simple, but colors we've never seen at this house. Both our moms also made amazing quilts. So cute! (This baby had better be a girl, or we'll have wasted a lot of time and money, but I guess I'll have lots of great baby gifts to give out!)
Burpers, Shan doesn't like them, too shiny. Maybe I agree, but their done.
And of course all the fun clothes. I haven't really bought very many clothes for my last two babies, they just got hand-me-downs. So it's been fun buying all new clothes for this baby.
I still don't have anything on the walls, I'm needing some inspiration. So if anyone has any good ideas let me know, I can use them!

Colorado Buck

Shan shot this buck in Colorado two years ago. He's been waiting patiently to have it mounted and this last week it was finally done. He loves how it turned out. He was so excited he couldn't wipe the smile off his face all night. And he kept going into the office just to look at it. I'm glad he has something that makes him that excited. And what makes me happy about this? That he has a whole office at work where he takes his animals to hang and enjoy!

We're Back!

It looks like we're back! It's been a while since I have felt like blogging, and I still don't think I have the blogging spirit. I feel a little bit like it's something I had to do. Just one more thing to get done. Sorry, I haven't commented on anyones blogs, but I have looked in every once in a while. Hopefully I'll get back to that soon too!
But, anyway, since Christmas we have been busily getting ready for this new baby to come. I've put Shan to work doing woodwork and painting. And I have been sewing, sewing and shopping. Today Shan should finish painting the bead board. And I have finished the dust ruffle for the crib, three blankets, and burpers. I still need to finish the curtains. We're getting close, but are still not there. I need to take some pictures so you can see our work in progress, maybe later this week! Only three more weeks until the baby is due, so we are working, working, working!

School Project

This week Carson had to do a little report on a polar animal. Big surprise, he picked the polar bear. He had to write out three facts about the bear and then in a box, make it's habitat. He and Shan spent a couple hours on it. They made a polar bear on ice out of aqua dots and even a little seal and birds. Then they made mountains, ice, and water. It turned out great.

But, if this is the type of projects they do in Kindergarten, I'm a little worried about first grade!

Golfing

Shan has been taking the boys to the golf course to practice putting. They love it! Usually he takes them right before dark, so we have an excuse to leave!

New Jammies!

We were hoping to get these pajamas for my boys for Christmas, but the store was out and didn't get any until after Christmas. We gave these same pajamas to our boys two Christmas's ago and they have been so sad that they outgrew them. So when Shan saw them at the store he bought them(only for Carson and Michael, Blake can wear the hand-me-downs!) We sure had some excited boys!
